COMMUNITY KINDNESS

“The greatness of a community is most accurately measured by the compassionate actions of its members.” – Coretta Scott King.

As the world adjusts to daily struggles of the COVID-19 pandemic, it has been heartwarming to observe the many acts of kindness across the globe. We have seen examples of humanity uniting to support those who are most vulnerable and Zambia has been no exception to both the struggles and the incredible kindness extended to those most in need.

As an organisation, we are doing everything possible to support our people, with a primary focus on their livelihoods, safety and health.

Still, we couldn’t do it without the help and support of all of you.

Recently, we have been blessed by some incredibly compassionate guests and friends of Royal Zambezi Lodge with further support for the Lower Zambezi communities and natural ecosystems.

The generous donations received have been for our ongoing projects at the Community Clinic, Maternity Ward and School.

These donations include:

  • A wheelchair that was generously donated by Ishaq Musa.
  • Medicines and disinfectants, together with hula hoops and balls for the school, kindly given by Punit & Saloni Sharma.
  • As a company, we managed to contribute further by donating a new hospital bed to the Maternity Ward, as well as a supply of various medicines and disinfectants urgently needed by the clinic.

We cannot express enough how grateful we are to all those that support us in our continued efforts in looking after our community and wildlife. Thank you for your compassion, kindness, and generosity, and we are so lucky to have you all as part of the Royal family.

If you or anyone you know would like to contribute to our community or conservation initiatives, please feel free to contact our team who will gladly assist you with further information.

“Alone, we can do so little; together, we can do so much” – Helen Keller.
