The river’s variety keeps things interesting, from Bream to Chessa and even the elusive Cornish Jack. This is no ordinary fishing trip with elephants, hippos, and the occasional lion on the banks. Guided by local experts, you’ll spend your days on the water and your evenings swapping stories at the Sausage Tree Bar with a cold beer in hand. Day 1:

Touch down by scenic flight and enjoy a short 10-minute road transfer to Royal Zambezi Lodge. Once you arrive, take a moment to unwind and take in the beauty of the Lower Zambezi – or, if time allows, head straight out for your first fishing session on the river.

Days 2–3:

Each day offers two expertly guided fishing sessions, one in the morning and one in the afternoon, planned around the best times to catch. And when the fish are biting, we’ll set up a picnic-style lunch on a nearby island so you don’t miss a bite (quite literally), rods at the ready and a drink in hand.

Days 4:

Enjoy a final chance to cast your line at sunrise before bidding farewell to the river. After breakfast, you’ll transfer back to the Royal Airstrip for your departure.
